Follow The Blood!

Blood of Jesus

The Glory of Jesus

Follow The Blood!

A missionary tells about a boy who appeared at a mission hospital in Kenya with a gaping wound
in his foot. He had been accidentally injured while cutting grass far out in the jungle.
Part of his heel was cut off.

Without waiting to inform anyone of the mishap, he set out across country to find the mission station
where he had heard medical help was available.
Every time the little foot touched the sandy earth it left a faint trace of blood.
The journey was long and difficult, but at last he arrived.

A little  while later the boy's mother appeared. The doctors were surprised that she found the way.
There were no well-defined trails, and she had never made the trip before.

"How did you do it?" she was asked.
The dear woman, overjoyed to be with her child, replied, "Oh, it was easy. I just followed the blood!"

The blood will always lead to the Savior.

Blood of Jesus

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart.
She responded to Godís call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution.
But, the change in her was evident.

As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.
She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.
It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastorís son.
The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.

This is when the problems began.
You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers
was suitable for a pastorís son.

The church began to argue and fight about the matter.
So they decided to have a meeting.
As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.
As she began to cry the pastorís son stood.
He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be.
He began to speak and his statement was this:
ďMy fianceeís past is not what is on trial here.
What you are questioning is the ability of the Blood of Jesus to wash away sin.
Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely.
If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.

ďWhat can wash away my sins,
nothing but the blood of Jesus
.... ď

The Glory of Jesus

He always has been, and He always will be.
Iím talking about He [who] had no predecessor and He [who] has no successor.
There was nobody before Him and there will be nobody after Him.
You canít impeach Him, and Heís not going to resign.
We try to get prestige and honor and glory to ourselves, but the glory is all His.
Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, and ever, and ever, and ever.
How long is that? And ever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and when you get through with all of the forevers,
then "Amen."
Dr. S. M. Lockridge, Dallas, Texas, quoted by Max Anders in Jesus, Knowing Our Savior,
(Nashville: Thomas Nelson Publ., 1995), pp. 33-35 (Edited for brevity)

He has all knowledge, Heís the well-spring of wisdom, Heís the doorway of deliverance, Heís the pathway of peace,
He is the roadway of righteousness, Heís the highway of holiness Heís the gateway of glory,
Heís the master of the mighty, Heís the captain of the conquerors, Heís the head of the heroes,
Heís the leader of the legislators, Heís the overseer of the overcomers, Heís the governor of governors,
Heís the prince of princes, Heís the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

His life is matchless. His goodness is limitless. His mercy is everlasting. His love never changes.
His word is enough. His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous. His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Well. I wish I could describe Him to you. But Heís indescribable. Yes. Heís incomprehensible.
Heís invincible, Heís irresistible. Iím trying to tell you, the Heavens cannot contain Him, let alone a  man explain Him. You canít get Him out of your mind. You canít get Him off of your hands. You canít outlive Him,
and you canít live without Him. Well.
The Pharisees couldnít stand Him, but they found out they couldnít stop Him.
Pilate couldnít find any fault in Him. Herod couldnít kill Him.
Death couldnít handle Him and the grave couldnít hold Him. He is my Lord and my Saviour!

He is eternally strong, Heís entirely sincere, Heís eternally steadfast. Heís immortally graceful.
He is imperially powerful. Heís impartially merciful. Heís Godís Son. Heís the sinnerís savior.
Heís the centerpiece of civilization. He stands alone in Himself. Heís unparalleled. Heís unprecedented.
Heís supreme. Heís preeminent. Heís the loftiest idea in literature. Heís the highest idea in philosophy.
Heís the fundamental truth in theology.

Heís the miracle of the age. Heís the only one able to supply all of our needs simultaneously.
He supplies strength for the weak. Heís available for the tempted and the tried. He sympathizes and He saves.
He guards and He guides. He heals the sick, He cleans the lepers.
He forgives sinners, He discharges debtors, He delivers captives, He defends the feeble, He blesses the young,
He serves the unfortunate, He regards the aged, He rewards the diligent, He beautifies the meek.
He is my Lord and Saviour!
Do you know Him?
